POSITION SUMMARY:
WC Smith is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with a minimum of two years' experience to join our team at our team at The Agora, at The Collective in the Capitol Riverfront/Navy Yard in Washington, DC. This individual will be responsible for turning over vacant apartments, the successful execution of maintenance tickets and addressing resident maintenance concerns.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in turning over vacant apartments for marketability and move-in ready status
Complete and submit service requests on time and upon completion.
Assist in the completion of preventative maintenance schedules of equipment and operating systems.
Work on-call to assist residents in emergency maintenance matters.
Provide exemplary customer service to all residents, prospective residents, guests, and contractors.


REQUIREMENTS:

At least two years of residential property maintenance experience
A basic knowledge of maintenance and repair and the tools and equipment
Knowledge of maintenance in the following areas: appliance repair, plumbing, electricity, locks, carpentry, painting, fire alarm panels, and pools.
High school diploma or equivalent desired.
Basic knowledge and use of Microsoft Office is required.
EPA 608 Universal CFC certification required.
Experience with water source heat pumps (WSHP) is a plus.
Pool maintenance experience and Certified Pool Operator certification is a plus.
Experience working with Yardi is preferred.
Must be able to be on call and work weekends as needed.
Experience working on a Class A property is preferred.
