POSITION SUMMARY:
WC Smith has an exciting seasonal opportunity for an Splash Park/ Pool Operations Manager to join its Splash Park within The Villages of Parklands during the 2024 summer months. The Aquatics Manager will have experience in the administration and operation of a pool or waterpark and maintain a high level of customer service with excellent communication skills. This position requires significant interaction with the public and children.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees the safe and proper operation of the entire splash park and pool to include:
equipment and risk management
birthday parties and event space rentals
front desk and concession stand
Manages and creates park staff schedules and submits timekeeping records for payroll purposes.
Collaborates with the lead lifeguard on part-time aquatic staff supervision
maintaining appropriate pool chemical levels
completing facility records and documentation
ensuring all pool equipment is operational
overseeing day-to-day facility maintenance; enforcing splash park rules
Trains and supervises staff with particular attention to the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)
Interacts with clients to promote sales, resolve customer concerns and manage complaints

POOL MANAGER CAREER EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the operation and management of a family aquatic center, pool complex, waterpark, or related recreation facility.
Must hold current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR Professional Rescuer Certificate.
American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certificate and Water Safety Instructor certificate preferred.
Certified Pool or Aquatic Facility Operator preferred.
Knowledge of swimming pool operations and sanitation, maintenance, and safety.
Knowledge of emergency services and auxiliary services available in the Village of Parklands community in the event of an accident.
Ability to work in harmony with pool staff, patrons, and the public while enforcing facility regulations.
Outstanding customer service orientation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Excellent organizational skills.
High degree of energy and motivation.
