POSITION SUMMARY:
WC Smith has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Community Manager at The Garrett at The Collective, in the exciting Capitol Riverfront neighborhood. The Garrett features world-class amenities, including a 5,000 square foot co-working space which this individual will manage. The Assistant Community Manager will be expected to have significant interaction with residents, including maintaining a high level of customer service, taking ownership of all aspects of property management, have excellent communication skills, and successfully lead our co-working office space.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the day-to-day operations of Collective Work, a full service, 5,000 square foot co-work space; including the sales process, member agreements, member customer service, managing monthly billings and maximizing the use of co-work management software.
Partners with the maintenance team, the Community Manager and The Collective senior management to ensure all property and resident needs are met.
Assists Community Manager with the financial management performance of The Garrett, including maximizing income and monitoring the lease-up progress of 372 new apartment homes.
Assists with property's accounting processes including delinquency notifications, filing suits and evictions process.
Acts as the main point of contact for all resident issues after move-in and liaises with the maintenance team to address concerns.
Reviews and verifies monthly billings, invoices, resident ledgers, and accounting details as needed.
Manages operations when the Community Manager not present.
Provides assistance with The Collective initiatives and events as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in business management, hospitality, marketing or a related field.
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in property management and proven success in an assistant or manager role.
Experience in a fast paced environment (300+ units). Lease up experience preferred. 
Strong customer service orientation and experience working in a Class A luxury property.
Experience working in or managing a co-working space highly desired, including general knowledge of office equipment troubleshooting.
Experience with accounting, delinquency notifications, filing suits, and eviction proceedings.
Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of Federal and DC Fair Housing laws.
Previous experience utilizing property management software (Yardi preferred).
Advanced Microsoft Office skills such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Professional demeanor and appearance.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of residents and lease-up.
