JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Summary

The Aircraft Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance activities to ensure aircraft airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness. This role develops detailed maintenance work packages, schedules maintenance events, and ensures all required labor, tooling, and materials are available before work begins.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain aircraft maintenance schedules based on manufacturer maintenance programs and regulatory requirements. Create detailed maintenance work packages for scheduled inspections, repairs, and modifications.
  • Review maintenance manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives (ADs), and engineering orders to incorporate required tasks into maintenance plans.
  • Coordinate with materials planning to ensure required parts and tools are available prior to maintenance events.
  • Monitor aircraft maintenance status and adjust schedules as operational needs change.
  • Support troubleshooting and planning for unscheduled maintenance events.
  • Track compliance with regulatory requirements and maintenance program intervals.
  • Collaborate with maintenance control, engineering, quality assurance, and operations teams.
  • Ensure maintenance documentation and task cards are prepared and completed accurately.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and improve maintenance planning efficiency.

Skills/Competencies

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and engineering documents.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and scheduling skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Education/Experience

  • Maintenance Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience to perform essential job functions).
  • 3 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, planning, or technical operations.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance programs and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working with maintenance planning or MRO systems (e.g., SAP, Quantum, Avsight, etc.)
Location: Coolidge, Arizona

Language:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions and confined spaces.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in hangars, workshops, and outdoor environments.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and potentially hazardous materials.
