Position Summary: The NDT Inspector II is responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections using various techniques to evaluate materials and components for defects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and safety regulations. This role requires an intermediate level of experience and certification in multiple NDT methods. Duties & Responsibilities: • Perform inspection of aircraft components and structures using various NDT methods including, but not limited to, Visual Inspection, Fluorescent Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and Eddy Current • Read and interpret indications and evaluate discontinuities referencing applicable quality documents • Operate and maintain liquid penetrants and magnetic particle inspection equipment • Knowledge of customer specifications and industry standards in regard to NDT acceptance criteria and sample requirements • Develop NDT Techniques • Organizes, reports and maintains records of NDT inspection results • Adhere to proper placement or replacement of all safety guards, safety materials and use of PPE’s and all safety procedures • Participate in evaluating and improving capability of NDT processes to eliminate escape of non-conforming product, efficiency improvements, productivity, and flow • Recommend process improvements to management team • Drive suggestions that will reduce costs, improve product flow and guarantee customer satisfaction • Ensures compliance with all safety and health precautions • Proficiency in using NDT inspection tools and software • Strong knowledge of FAA Part 145 repair station requirements and aircraft maintenance manuals (AMM). Required Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED • 1-2 years’ experience minimum in Magnetic Particle method • 1-2 years’ experience minimum in Fluorescent Penetrant method • Eddy Current experience a plus • Proficiency in using NDT inspection tools and software Willingness to learn additional NDT method Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facilities, airlines, or aerospace manufacturing. • Knowledge of composite material inspection techniques. • Familiarity with automated NDT inspection systems • Meet SNT-TC-1A requirements • Meet NAS-410 requirements Travel: • None Language: • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
