Sr. Repair Service Coordinator

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position Summary:
The Senior Repair Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating complex repair activities, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery to customers or internal teams. This role acts as a liaison between repair technicians, customers, and other departments, providing expert-level support, process oversight, and problem resolution. The Senior Repair Coordinator is expected to lead process improvements, track KPIs, and mentor junior staff.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day repair operations, including scheduling, prioritization, and logistics.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for high-priority or escalated repair issues.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to provide updates and manage expectations.
• Track and manage repair orders, parts availability, and service timelines in ERP or repair tracking systems.
• Review and verify repair reports, estimates, and invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce repair turnaround times.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as repair cycle time, first-time fix rate, and customer satisfaction.
• Train and mentor junior repair coordinators and administrative support staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
• Support warranty and return claims processes when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years in repair coordination, service operations, or technical support role; 2+ years in a senior or lead role preferred.
• Industry Experience: [Customize as needed – e.g., electronics, automotive, telecom, HVAC, etc.]
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with service management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce Service Cloud, ServiceNow, etc.).
• Ability to interpret technical documents and repair manuals.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to organize and prioritize various tasks and assignments
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining priorities and meeting deadlines
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills using Excel or BI tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Technical certifications or background in repair/maintenance fields.
• Familiarity with warranty and RMA processes.
Travel:
• Must be able to travel 10% of the time.
Languages:
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Working Conditions:
• This position primarily works in an office environment on occasion visit the onsite warehouse and/or aviation repair shop environment.
