Shop Support Associate - 145

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position Summary:
The position will perform shipping and receiving for aircraft parts and components within the repair station, ensuring accuracy, and timeliness of all job functions.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible to receive & ship Aircraft Parts/Components and all supplies to be used in, or to aid in, the Repair/Overhaul process and the storage of materials for the support of the Repair Station
• Support the shipment of Aircraft Parts/Components upon completion of the Repair/Overhaul process.
• Responsible to receive purchase orders in ERP, assign stock locations, and make accurate placements for all inventory items.
• Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Perform scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stocks.
• Complete and fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers.
• Interact with freight and postal carriers as needed to ship and receive packages.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to perform but not limited to the following tasks, be familiar with and able to interpret packing slips, enter into Quantum the correct information, to acknowledge receipt of the goods into the purchase order and processing database.
• Must be capable of estimating weight and use that information to calculate the cost of shipping.
• Must be familiar with proper packaging methods.
• Provide technical assistance to Mechanic Assistants and Aircraft Painters as directed. May include cleaning, prepping, and masking aircraft components and shop tooling for application of protective finishes.
• Ability to drive a forklift.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with UPS/FEDEX online software is desirable.
• Previous Hazmat training is desirable.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills.
• Must have strong computer skills.
• Excellent prioritization, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Travel:
• No Travel required for this position.

Language:
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Physical Demands:
• Lifting: Maximum 50lbs.
• Carrying, Walking, Pushing, Climbing, Reaching

Working Conditions:
• Ability to work in machine shop/component repair environment.
• Momentary exposure to high noises.
• Exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents.
• Personal Protection Equipment will be required for certain tasks.
