Position Summary: The Logistics Analyst is responsible for analyzing and improving the efficiency of supply chain and logistics operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs, including transportation, distribution, and storage of goods. This role involves data analysis, forecasting, and the development of solutions to reduce costs, improve delivery times, and increase overall supply chain efficiency. Duties & Responsibilities: • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. • Monitor inventory levels and ensure that products are available in the right quantities at the right time. • Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation routes, warehouse operations, and distribution processes. • Collaborate with logistics teams to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve delivery times. • Use logistics software and tools to forecast demand and manage inventory. • Prepare reports and presentations on logistics performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost-per-shipment, on-time delivery rates, and order fulfillment. • Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials. • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and recommend improvements in logistics operations. • Maintain relationships with transportation providers to negotiate rates and service levels. • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations regarding transportation and shipping. • Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics processes, such as transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations, such as on-time delivery, order fulfillment rates, and inventory turnover. • Create reports and presentations to communicate logistics performance, findings, and recommendations to management. • Work with various stakeholders, including suppliers, transportation providers, warehouse staff, and internal teams, to ensure smooth logistics operations. • Address and resolving logistics issues and disruptions as they arise, ensuring minimal impact on operations. Required Qualifications: • 3 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related analytical role. • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle Transportation Management). • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and logistics best practices. • Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. • Experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus. • Strong understanding of global trade laws, customs regulations, and international shipping practices.
