Training Specialist

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Summary:

The Training Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing programs across a wide range of topics within the organization: quality, safety, career pathing, leadership, orientation, etc. This role involves designing and delivering companywide training programs, managing compliance with all applicable regulations, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization. The Training Manager will work closely with all departments to identify training needs, as well as work closely with subject matter experts to create and deploy training.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop training programs that meet the specific needs of the organization including onboarding, technical skills development, leadership development, soft skills enhancement, programs on health, safety, and environmental practices.
    • Conduct training sessions, including orientation for new employees and refresher courses for existing staff via synchronous and asynchronous applications.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using Kirkpatrick Model and ROI; update content as needed to ensure ongoing compliance and relevance
    • Create and manage training calendar, ensuring programs are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Conduct gap analysis to ensure correct development of materials to support various learning objectives.
    • Oversee the delivery of training programs through a variety of training methodology.
    • Facilitate training sessions as needed, ensuring that content is engaging, informative, and accessible to all participants.
    • Manage external training vendors and consultants, ensuring that they deliver high-quality training in line with organizational standards.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement, make adjustments to programs as necessary.
    • Implement best practices and innovative approaches to enhance the quality and impact of training initiatives.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Training Management, Leadership Development, Technical Trainer, or Training Specialist role.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering successful training programs in a corporate or organizational setting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems and software.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations and standards.

     

    Travel:

  • Occasional travel may be required to conduct inspections, audits, or training at different company sites.

     

    Language:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

     

    Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on occasions.
  • Carrying, Walking, Pushing, Climbing, Reaching.
