Technical Services Support Lead

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Summary:

The Technical Services Support Lead will be responsible for planning, documenting, implementing, and processing daily sales support and technical service tasks (research/inspecting aircraft articles).


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Read, interpret, and comply with all aircraft manuals, primarily the Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), and the Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC).
  • Successfully locating aircraft article information and fulfilling all the Unical sales requirements.
  • Contacting sources and obtaining price, condition, and availability for each requirement.
  • Data entry and updated information into the Quantum system.
  • Communicating effectively and maintaining a professional relationship internally and externally.
  • Determine, source, and procure all relevant tooling and equipment required for removal/repair of the aircraft article.
  • Estimate turnaround times, and relative costs to provide data for management/operational decision.
  • Provide engineering support to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • To provide day-to-day sales support, help to improve sales revenue, and provide all aspects of after-sales and service customer support.
  • To mentor other associates in the group.
  • To provide day-to-day sales support, help to improve sales revenue, and provide all aspects of aftermarket sales and service customer support.
  • To optimize the management of inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in an aviation component environment.
  • Skills in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Must have a basic understanding of aircraft airframe and engine technologies and their operations.
  • Requires organizational skills, attention to detail, and have above average customer service skills.
  • Requires good oral and written communication skills, organization, time-management skills, and the ability to estimate costs.
  • Must have strong drive and aggressiveness.
  • Teamwork is a very important trait as well as good interpersonal skills as there is a need to coordinate with different departments.
  • Must be able to work extended hours when necessary to meet critical deadlines.
  • The ability to communicate in Mandarin with our Asia customers will be an advantage.
  • Should have good business acumen and good judgment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with accuracy.


 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • A&P training will be an advantage.
  • Previous sales experience or MRO experience is preferred.
  • Review and interpret blueprints and approved tech data (ex. CMM, SRM, SOPM, SPM) to plan, evaluate, and generate instructions and other process documentation to meet specifications are preferred.


 
Travel:  Must be willing to travel 20% of the time.

Language: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Physical Demands:

  • Work Environment: 90% office, 10% shop floor (warehouse and aviation repair shop).
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on occasions.
  • Carrying, Walking, Pushing, Climbing, Reaching.


 
Working Conditions: This position works in an office and a limited warehouse environment.
