This position collaborates with both data professionals and business leaders, turning complex data into actionable insights. The Senior Data Analyst supports management through data gathering, evaluation, analysis, and reporting to empower strategic decision making across the organization.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY
Position Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, process, and analyze data from various sources to support business decision-making.
Reporting and Visualization: Develop and maintain external-agency data transfers, dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders and support operational processes.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by implementing rigorous validation and cleansing processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
Trend Identification: Monitor and analyze trends in data to identify opportunities for improvement and provide actionable recommendations.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources, methodologies, and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
Compliance: Adhere to data governance and privacy policies, ensuring all data handling practices comply with relevant regulations.
Mentorship: Serve as a mentor to other analysts and team members by providing guidance, sharing best practices, and supporting their professional development.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within the insurance sector.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, or R. Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau. Familiarity with database management systems and data warehousing concepts.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex datasets and translate them into actionable insights.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to approach problems logically and systematically to resolve issues.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in deliverables.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
Use of PC, telephone, copy machine, fax, and other office equipment over six (6) hours per day.
Extended periods of sitting and concentration.
Occasional bending, twisting, crouching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and moving items weighing up to 30 lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Occasional long, irregular hours.
Provide after-hours problem resolution when required.
Occasional travel by auto or other public transportation.
Work to be conducted in office environment owned or leased by company.
