Job Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for providing appropriate Data and User Security Access and controlling, maintaining and monitoring security access to the computer infrastructure and data files. These skills are also to be used to manage security reporting for upper management and compliance requirements.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILTIES AND AUTHORITY

Assist in the development, implementation and ongoing reviews of security policies, processes and controls.

Provide after-hours problem resolution as required.

Assist in the review of application access provisioning in the Active Directory (AD) and RACF environments.

Generate and review appropriate reports and alerts using security administration software.

Update security access to production groups, permissions, files and libraries.

Assist in the upgrade of security applications and software.

Test and evaluate new security technology.

Perform, administer or manage vendor penetration testing.

Analyze enterprise software and hardware acquisition requirements and provide objective advice on the integration of security considerations and requirements.

Gather feedback from end users to continue to improve security systems.

Design, analyze and implement efficient security solutions.

Verify the security of third-party vendors and collaborate with them to meet security requirements.

Assist in internal security auditing.

Security breach analysis to determine root cause.

Assist in developing, implementing and testing enterprise incident response and disaster recovery plans.

Define and generate appropriate security reports for Compliance and upper management.

Create and estimate task lists as it pertains to Security projects.

Work with other IS teams to facilitate security related changes.

Other duties as assigned.


Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school and (2) years of experience in a computer related field

Good oral and written communications skills.

Good organizational skills.

Good problem-solving abilities.

Ability and willingness to learn and extend skills.

Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record at the time of hire which would not place the employee on probation, or disqualify the employee from Certified Fleet Operator Status, under the Company Driving and Safety Policy.

Ability to interact with users and team members.

Good telephone skills.
