This position is responsible for maintaining and optimizing server hardware, operating systems and application software to maximize the availability, performance of business applications and services. The position will work closely with other information system areas to analyze and resolve end user software program and connectivity issues in a timely and accurate fashion.
Systems Administrator candidates will have proven knowledge of one or more of the following functional areas and demonstrate the skills needed to gain proficiency in the other area.
Position Responsibilities:
Overall:
Utilize ITIL framework for Change, Incident, and Problem Management for supporting the production environment.
Assist in developing Detail Designs based on High Level Designs provided by System Architect.
Provide after-hours problem resolution as required.
Ability to develop working process.

Functional Area #1 –Servers and operating systems:
Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, configurations and support systems.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving problems with hardware, software, application and network connectivity issues.
Assist in maintaining server environments to maximize availability and performance.
Technical Skills Required:
Functional Area #2 – TCP/IP Networking:
Assist in maintenance and configuration of security protocols for the systems.

Willing to travel as required.
Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record at the time of hire which would not place the employee on probation or disqualify the employee from Certified Fleet Operator status under the Company Driving and Safety Policy.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Repeated use of PC, telephone, and office machines.
Extended periods of sitting and concentration.
Occasional bending, twisting, crouching, pulling, pushing, and reaching in an office environment.
Consistently lift and move items weighing up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Occasionally work long, irregular hours.
Work to be conducted in office environment owned or leased by company.
Travel, as required.
