SUMMARY:

The HR Coordinator supports the Human Resources team by managing key administrative and operational functions, with a strong emphasis on onboarding, employee retention, training coordination, and compliance tracking. This role is instrumental in delivering a smooth onboarding experience, supporting employee engagement efforts, and ensuring that training and evaluation processes are completed and properly documented. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to enhancing the employee experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Records and tracks performance reviews, logs training and certifications.
  2. Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding processes, including orientation scheduling, documentation, and system setup.
  3. Collaborates with department heads to ensure that job descriptions are regularly reviewed and updated as duties change, and roles evolve.
  4. Work with IT to ensure that they are up to date on any position changes or newly created positions.
  5. Maintains accurate and up-to-date paper and electronic human resource files, records, and documentation.
  6. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  7. Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  8. Support employee engagement and retention programs, including surveys, recognition initiatives, and feedback collection.
  9. Assists with execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  10. Assist in organizing and tracking employee training sessions and maintaining training records
  11.  Collaborate to improve onboarding, training, evaluation, and continuing medical education tracking workflows.
  12. Monitor and maintain accurate records of CME hours for applicable staff, ensuring compliance with licensing and certification requirements.
  13. Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed.
  14. Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and other systems.
  15. Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school graduation and three years of administrative assistant experience preferred. Experience in health care organization is preferred.
