SUMMARY:
Sunshine Community Health Center (SCHC) is excited to announce an opening in our dental department for a general dentist. This position assesses and evaluates the oral health care needs of patients; performs selected diagnostic and therapeutic tasks; institutes and manages care for patients; and performs related work as assigned. Additionally, the dental team at SCHC has access to a multidisciplinary team of medical staff, behavioral health staff, patient advocates, and care management as support to provide whole person care for our patients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an accredited nationally recognized dental program/school. Possess an Alaska Dental license in good standing. Two years working in rural and /or underserved clinical environment preferred; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply. Current NPI # and DEA license required (or in application process). Current ACLS required. Additional emergency licensure recommended (PALS, ATLS, etc.)
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
GENERAL To ensure the health of our community, patients, and staff, SCHC requires proof of completed vaccine series or serologic test results for MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella), Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis and Hepatitis B, as well as TB screening, prior to employment.
