Applies electrical engineering principles to research, design and analyze a variety of electronic / electrical systems including, but not limited to: servo control, radio communication, digital signal processing, timing, high speed / resolution video, and Time-Space-Position-Information (TSPI). Directs and coordinates fabrication, operation, installation, integration and repair of electronic / electrical systems. Researches, analyzes and evaluates customer / supplier / vendor products, designs, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application. Responsible for the design and implementation of advanced instrumentation systems. Provides technical assistance to planning, operation and maintenance activities by recommending solutions to diverse and complex problems. Explains complex concepts and ideas orally and through reports and presentations to technicians, engineering peers, management and customers. Responsibilities also include researching, designing, developing, estimating, scheduling, testing, troubleshooting, and integrating electrical components to meet the technical requirements of diverse engineering projects.
Seeking candidates with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and aptitude for designing, analyzing, building, and troubleshooting both analog and digital circuits. A passion for working in dynamic and challenging environments, both indoors and outdoors, with a proven ability to problem-solve in real-world situations, is essential. The role also requires excellent communication and writing skills to effectively present technical information. A valid driver’s license is required. Applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance as a condition of employment.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: At least two years of experience in designing, analyzing, building, and troubleshooting both analog and digital circuits. Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems is also preferred. An active DoD Secret Clearance is not mandatory at the time of hire but is strongly desired. Experience with project management and a solid understanding of Systems Engineering best practices would be a valuable asset. Professional licensure in the Principles and Practice of Engineering Examination (PE) for Electrical and Computer Engineering, specializing in Power, is strongly preferred.
