Provide in-person/remote technical support for hardware, software, and network issues to employees. Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to workflow. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers and peripherals, ensuring compliance with Government standards. Monitor IT inventory, manage asset lifecycle, and maintain accurate records of all IT assets. Assist in the implementation of IT projects and initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams for successful execution. Educate users on best practices for technology use, including security and data protection measures. Keep records and logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
Receives technical guidance from supervisor and work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices and work assignments. Work might include cross-utilization into other jobs as required. May require some overtime and weekend work and possible travel assignments.
Demonstration of satisfactory skills and good performance in Information Systems Technology; 3 years of experience in the specific field or graduation from a two-year resident course at a technical institute. Candidate must have a CompTIA Security + Certification. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must be able to lift 50lbs and manipulate laptop and desktop computers during assembly and may be required to enter cableways and racks during installation and troubleshooting. The candidate selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
