POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the supervision of the Ground Target Operation crew consisting approximately 20 Technicians. Responsible and accountable for over 700 tracked and wheeled target vehicles, approximately 35 Government furnished tactical and non-tactical vehicles and the maintenance necessary to ensure their availability. Oversees the operation of the GTO supply/parts warehouse, containing inventory in excess of $2 million for both domestic and foreign equipment. Utilizing PMCS, receives Work Requests (WR) and Change Orders (CO) for Test Missions and Project Support. Tracks, schedules and completes assigned requests. Responsible for making work assignments through Maintenance Connection (MC), Maintenance Management System. Responsible for initiating or reviewing and approving Purchase Requests initiated in support of assigned work. Tracks and monitors work status daily and adjusts work assignments as required to accommodate changing customer priorities and mission support requirements. Coordinates work assignments with government customers and other SRS Departments located at White Sands Missile Range and Holloman Air Force Base. Responsible for assuring facility and workforce compliance with safety, security, and environmental laws, regulations, and company policies.

 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must be a graduate of a two-year technical institute with a minimum of three years applicable supervisory experience or a total of six years progressive applicable experience in the specific field.  Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.  Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Four-year degree in an applicable field. Working knowledge of contract operations and test support requirements as well as reporting and administrative functions to include purchasing, supply and timekeeping.
