Briefing Coordinator (#24-048 Secret Clearance)

Strategic Analysis, inc. (SA) is actively seeking a Briefing Coordinator to support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's Defense Sciences Office (DARPA DSO).

This position functions on a hybrid work schedule with anticipation of 2-3 days onsite at the DARPA facility in Arlington, Virginia.
 

This individual will develop required presentations, unclassified and classified, to support the mission of the Defense Sciences Office. The individual should be able to quickly understand technical concepts and assist with preparing presentation material that accurately and clearly conveys these concepts. Examples of the type of support include:

  • Developing the annual office strategy and preparation of the strategy briefing, to include:
    • Identification of national security challenges,
    • Technical opportunities in the office’s core competency areas,
    • and drafting and updating an overarching strategic plan for the office.
  • Coordinating staffer briefings-sending out guidance to Program Managers and working with the Assistant Director, Program Management (ADPM) on budget information.
  • Developing new start concept presentations, including visual aids that help explain complicated technical approaches to non-experts.
  • Developing briefings to senior Department of Defense (DoD) personnel about DARPA’s technology efforts and how they support overall DoD mission objectives.
  • Creating and/or updating graphs, charts, data visualizations, slides, spreadsheets or other documents with accurate information to support meetings, reviews and taskers.
  • Coordination with DSO leadership, program managers, security and other technical offices as needed. To include drafting timelines, scheduling dry-runs and time to review briefings with DSO leadership to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate and draft communication documents for the office to include website messaging, newsletter, and other documents as requested by the client.

Required Skills:

  • Have three-five years’ recent and relevant experience required.
  • Must have proven experience working in a briefing/writing position.
  • Be able to manage multiple disparate moving parts and respond quickly to often changing priorities in a high-pressure environment and be skilled at prioritization and time management.
  • Have excellent writing skills and be able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
  • Must be able to multi-task, pick up new concepts quickly and readily handle tasks ranging from briefing support to general administration.
  • Have excellent organization, communication, and coordination.
  • Have discretion, strong spelling and grammar skills, attention to detail and ability to organize last minute and often high-profile taskers is a must.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint.

Desired Skills:

  • Active Secret/Top Secret clearance
