Strategic Analysis, Inc (SA) is seeking a versatile, skilled Intergovernmental Affairs SETA to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) activities. The ARPA-H mission is to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone by supporting the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems.

This position does require that you are in the office at least 3 days a week in Washington DC.

The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Research, identify and track non- HHS (DARPA, ARPA -E, ARPA- I, NIST, DOE) funded programs and conduct a cross walk with ARPA H programs and/or as new programs are launched identify agency outreach targets.
  • Identify key targets in relation to ARPA H programs, and detailed leadership points of contact within each of the agencies/programs.
  • Capture data into intergovernmental tracking system.
  • Create a dashboard of non-HHS interagency engagements and programs.
  • Draft reports on engagement activities or potential opportunities as required.
  • Create presentations tailored to the ARPA H programs/divisions.

A successful Intergovernmental Affairs SETA candidate will incorporate the following skills and experiences:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills. This includes routine communication amongst ARPA-H Leadership, PM, and PM SETA team.
  • Commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional time-management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, as well as complete tasks of varying priority in parallel and under stressful deadlines.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • 5+ years of identifying intergovernmental opportunities and working with/in the government.
  • 5+ years of ARPA experience (DARPA, IARPA, ARPA-E) in formulating a program concept; from initial idea, refinement, nomination package, to final program approval AND/OR experience in a start-up environment within the health industry building business strategy, designing launch plans, and expanding business is strongly preferred.

Qualification Requirements:

Education: Bachelors degree required, advanced degree preferred

Clearance: HHS, NIH Public Trust (Ability to obtain)

Experience: A minimum of 3-4 years working with senior leadership in a professional environment.
