Mankato Clinic is a physician-owned, multi-specialty group with over 190 providers. We are looking for a BC/BE, OB/Gyn physician to join six other Obstetricians, one NP and one PA in a busy practice.  We have started a midwife collaboration of care model and have one FT midwife with the goal of having 3. We also have an organized Fertility program that our NP and PA manage.  Your practice will be located in a modern office setting that is connected by walkway to the local Regional Hospital. Our OB/Gyn Nursing Staff have years of experience with very low turnover, creating an efficient practice getting your patients roomed and ready in this high-volume department. 

We have triage nurses that are in charge of phones within the OB department and they also take care of tasks and work under protocols.  Resource nurses do the NOB intake prior to the physician seeing the patient; they also do all of the NST’s, injections where no appointment is needed, IV’s for fluids, 2 week post partum nurse calls.  We have the capability to do urodynamics in office and we have a hysteroscope that we use for minimal procedures.  We have surgery scheduling within the department which makes it easier for the provider to communicate those needs. There are 4 portable U/S machines in the OB department for use along with a full diagnostic Imaging Department on campus including CT and MRI.

The local hospital is licensed for 270 beds and is Level 3 Trauma Care with airlift capability and a Level 2 Specialty Care Nursery. There are nine LDR rooms, with over 40 nurses dedicated to OB/Gyn care, 24/7 Pediatric Hospitalist coverage, 14 surgical suites, one dedicated L&D Operating Room and 24/7 Anesthesia coverage. Robotics is available. You will  have the opportunity to work in our Ambulatory Surgery Center, which is co-owned by our Clinic with an independent orthopedic group.

There are 4 Surgical Advanced Practice Providers to assist with surgery, rounding work-ups and discharge.
