The following is a basic outline of the job description for Infertility in our OB/Gyn Department, at such time as you are fully trained and oriented as mutually determined by yourself and the OB/Gyn Department Manager, and you begin taking weekend Call Rotations for the position.

This is for a full-time position with a weekday schedule as follows:

  • Week one: 36 hours of patient contact time with 4 hours AT time
  • Week two: 32 hours of patient contact time with 4 hours of AT time and 4 hours off for Call. This could be made into one full day off, or kept separate from an afternoon of AT time.

Weekend Call consists of being available by cell phone from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, compensated per hour. There will be no weeknight Call for Infertility.

There will be occasions when you may need to see from one to several patients on weekends in the mornings in the OB/Gyn Department dependent on their cycle. Some weekends there are no patients to see.  When there are no patients scheduled on weekends, there are no travel restrictions as long as you are available by phone.

Infertility Call also rotates with holidays. We try not schedule or see patients on a holiday. However, if a holiday falls on a three-day weekend there may be a patient or patients one of those three days.

At this time we have one RN and one NP cover call so we would have a 2-3 weekend call rotation.
