Job Description:

Exciting opportunity to build a growing occupational therapy program at Mankato Clinic. The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans and administers medically prescribed occupational therapy intervention to patients to support development in areas of sensory processing, psychosocial development, motor coordination and cognitive functioning for the purpose of improved independence. Ensures development and proper education of patients in home programs. Must have the drive, passion and knowledge to grow the occupational therapy program. This position would be working in the clinic setting at our Main Street location in collaboration with Speech and Physical Therapists.

Job Requirements:

Current state Occupational Therapy licensure and graduate of an accredited college or university with a certificate in Occupational Therapy.  Current BLS (CPR) certification or must attain within 30 days of employment.  Basic computer skills and excellent communication skills required.  Knowledge of occupational therapy. Ability to lead/assist in the development of programs, procedures, policies, and protocols. A thorough knowledge of medical practice, dedication to patient satisfaction and an ability to work effectively with patients, physicians and other staff members. Must complete the required continuing education units (CEUs) for professional licensure within their professional guidelines/requirements prior to the deadline, and retain copies of the CEUs for each year. Must renew their professional license prior to the deadline, and submit proof of the application, as well as a paper copy, of the renewed license to the Site Manager in a timely manner.
