Job Summary
The Surveillance Supervisor is responsible for managing staff, creating schedules, training and overseeing Team Members. The role specializes in overseeing in-depth department audits and ensures that all investigations and reports are in compliance with regulations and policies and procedures. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the organization’s policies and procedures, tribal regulations, and all federal/state laws, as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
> All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa’s Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outlined in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, SOP’s, and any other related training.
> Ensure an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the properties, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner.
> Train new surveillance team members and monitor performance of all surveillance staff to ensure proper techniques and processes are adhered to.
> Create weekly schedules for team members.
> Responsible for acquiring and maintaining a working knowledge of all departments’ policies and procedures, minimum internal control standards and tribal internal control standards.
> Work closely with the rest of the management team to implement new policies and procedures.
> Assist with hiring, promoting, performance evaluations, training, disciplining and terminating Team Members with the concurrence of the Surveillance Director, Chief Operating Officer/General Manager, and the Director of Human Resources.
> Train Team Members how to utilize a multitude of various casino-based programs to audit Guests and team member transactions and to generate reports for audits and investigations.
> Implement training in new surveillance, security, banking, safety preparedness, and precautionary techniques.
> Coordinate in-depth investigations on behalf of the Compliance Department to assist with audits of daily information to ensure compliance with Title 31.
> Coordinate investigations to determine if cheating, theft, policy violations or incidents have occurred.
> Ensure reports are finalized correctly and that all applicable details and video have been saved.
> Report violations of the Title 31 process to include Currency Transaction Reports and Suspicious Activity Reports to the Compliance Department.
> Responsible for verifying that all reports coming out of the Surveillance Department are professionally written, and all information is verifiably factual.
> Responsible for inventory and ordering necessary supplies.
> Coordinate all video, documentation, and presentation material for internal or external auditors up to and including National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) auditors.
> Responsible for acting in the capacity of a Surveillance Agent as needed.
> Proactively monitor the day-to-day activities of all departments and document any violations not in accordance with Kiowa Casinos’ policy and procedures, including Kiowa Gaming Commission (KGC), System of Internal Control System (SICS), and Tribal Internal Control System (TICS).
> Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures, and to the MICS.
> Perform additional duties or projects, as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
> High School diploma or GED is required.
> 2-year degree in technical or related field and 2 years’ experience preferred with 1 year experience as a Lead Surveillance Agent, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
> Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the regulations governing gaming operations preferred.

> Ability to follow directions.
> Ability to perform CPR.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
> This position supervises all Surveillance Agents.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
> Ability to obtain and maintain Gaming License is required.
> Key positions require knowledge and application of Title 31 reporting requirements.
> Must have the ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug test.

PHYSICAL: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job.
While performing the job duties, the employee is required to maneuver in all areas of casino and related entity locations when necessary. Ability to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the offices and between buildings or properties for the duration of work hours. Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms, including lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects, or boxes, up to 35 pounds. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color, and symmetry. Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner. Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to operate office or other equipment and examine documents, records and files. Job may sit, lift, move, carry, and balance heavy objects and involve standing and walking for hours at a time. Must be able to sit and watch computer screens for extended periods of time.

Comprehension in assessing, analyzing and processing alpha, numeric and visual data, and the ability to accurately formulate or complete required documents. Mental capacity to monitor sometimes complex situations, to make quick decisions, tolerate stress, and/or conduct tasks under critical deadlines. Ability to concentrate on tasks over a period of time without being distracted.

Work in, or visit offices, casino operations, assigned outlet, hotel, kitchen, meeting space, convention center, gaming floor, motor vehicle, various amenities, and/or additional entity locations, or external environments, as related to business. Environment includes exposure to second-hand smoke, high noise level, bright lights, and sometimes fluctuating temperatures or weather conditions. Must be able to work irregular or additional hours or shifts, including holidays or weekends, as assigned, in order to meet business needs.
