Job Summary
Under the direction of the Revenue Audit Manager, the Revenue Audit Supervisor safeguards the assets of the casino by performing numerous audit and financial functions including the supervision of the staff that audits revenue generating department source documents.  All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the organization’s policies and procedures, tribal regulations, and all federal/state laws, as needed. 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  1. All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa’s Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outlined in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, SOP’s, and any other related training.
  2. Ensure an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the properties, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner.
  3. Supervise the reconciliation and recap of revenue figures obtained from operations for accuracy.
  4. Supervise the review of cage and vault paperwork, soft count sheets, Casino Management computer system reports, Table Games paperwork, and paperwork from all revenue generating centers, in order to verify accuracy of recording and to ensure proper investigation of variances.
  5. Reviews and sign off on daily checklists for completion and accuracy
  6. Prepare journal entries daily to record gaming and non-gaming revenues, drop, jackpots, and fills and other revenues/expenses, as they relate to casino operations.
  7. Oversees accuracy of auditor work and keeps log of errors that may require additional training.
  8. Maintains auditor work schedule and makes sure there is adequate coverage to complete work as required.
  9. Maintains progressive worksheet changes occurring each month.
  10. Transfer of system reported values to participation worksheets after verification that slot revenue is correct for the gaming week.
  11. Review exception reports to MICS and ensure responses are received and appropriate action has been taken by the department Managers/Direct Reports in a timely manner as described in the policies and procedures.  Compiles a monthly recap for the Revenue Audit Manager.
  12. Ensure preparation of statistical reports that are used by management to detect errors, detect fraud, and make business decisions.              
  13. Ensure that all revenue-related documents are safeguarded and placed in the proper files/storage.
  14. Will assist independent auditors and internal auditors, as required in absence of the Revenue Audit Manager.
  15. Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures, and to the Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS).
  16. Assist with hiring, retaining, promoting, performance evaluations, training, disciplining, and terminating employee with concurrence of the Department Manager, Department Director, Chief Financial Officer/General Manager, and the Director of Human Resources
  17. Maintain a high level of Guest confidentiality.
  18. Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures, and to the MICS.
  19. Maintain knowledge of special events, hours of operation, and other pertinent information.
Perform additional duties or projects, as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate Degree in accounting or related field and 2 years progressive Casino Audit experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the regulations governing gaming operations preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position supervises all Revenue Audit staff.

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Gaming License is required.
  • Must have the ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug test.

While performing the job duties, the employee is required to maneuver in all areas of casino and related entity locations when necessary.  Ability to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the offices and between buildings or properties for the duration of work hours.  Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms, including lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects, or boxes, up to 35 pounds.   Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color, and symmetry.  Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner.  Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.  Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and examine documents, records and files.

Work Environment

Work in, or visit offices, casino operations, assigned outlet, hotel, kitchen, meeting space, convention center, gaming floor, motor vehicle, various amenities, and/or additional entity locations, or external environments, as related to business.  Environment includes exposure to second-hand smoke, high noise level, bright lights, and sometimes fluctuating temperatures or weather conditions.  Must be able to work irregular or additional hours or shifts, including holidays or weekends, as assigned, in order to meet business needs.
