Job Summary
The Database Marketing Analyst specializes in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to provide key insights to the business. This position is responsible for ongoing analysis of gaming and non-gaming information, obtained from a variety of sources, which is highly confidential, and only to be shared with the highest levels of Management. The position is responsible for providing detailed performance indicators and analysis of slots, table games, marketing programs, food & beverage, and other areas as needed. It requires proficiency with analytical tools, knowledge of data analysis methodologies, use of reporting and presentation software, and strong communication skills. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the organization's policies and procedures, tribal regulations, and all federal/state laws, as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1.
All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa's Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outlined in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, SOP's, and any other related training.
2.
Ensure an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the properties, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner.
3.
Perform complex data set analysis to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data using Avanete Bl tools, Advanced Excel, Including Tabeau© and SQL©.
4.
Performs data mining and data modeling to facilitate decision making.
5.
Responsible for analyzing databases for the purpose of executing all aspects of Direct Mail Program, will work with Direct Mail Vendors to coordinate all direct mail operations.
6.
Make recommendations to Executive Management on campaign design and select attributes to support business objectives.
7.
Assist in the overall development of marketing strategic plans and budgets.
8.
Report current levels of play and effectiveness of promotions as related to existing players, recommend alternative solutions to enhance participation, and levels of play.
9.
Maintain knowledge of all gaming machines; player tracking systems, promotions relating to systems.
10.
Identify problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best course of action to correct issues.
11.
Troubleshoot and research data anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
12.
Monitor for timely and accurate completion of select data elements.
13.
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
14.
Develop graphs, reports, and presentations of project results.
15.
Generate routine and ad-hoc reports.
16.
Provide timely and accurate progress information to project status reports.
17.
Provide technical assistance to other departments as approved and directed by the Director of Marketing.
18.
Maintain and enhance technical skills through formal and on-the-job training.
19.
Respond to and assist with other problem tickets as required.
20.
Maintain a high level of Guest confidentiality.
21.
Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures, and to the MICS.
22.
Maintain knowledge of special events, hours of operation, and other pertinent information.
23.
Perform additional duties or projects, as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
•
High School diploma or GED is required.
•
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or Analytics plus 2 years of experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•
Strong working knowledge of player tracking systems preferred. Must be able to write and run Scripts, SQL, and Crystal Reports preferred.
•
Advanced knowledge of Casino Math and its principles preferred.
•
Advanced knowledge of Access, Excel, and Pivot Tables preferred.
•
Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the regulations governing gaming operations preferred.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Ability to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the offices and between buildings or properties for the duration of work hours. Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms, including lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects, or boxes, up to 35 pounds. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color, and symmetry. Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner. Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and examine documents, records and files.
Mental
Social perceptiveness to assess and understand other's reactions and behavior. Critical thinking to use logic and reasoning, to reach conclusions or optional solutions. Comprehension in assessing, analyzing and processing alpha, numeric and visual data, and the ability to accurately formulate or complete required documents. Ability to concentrate on tasks over a period of time without being distracted.
Work Environment

Work in, or visit offices, casino operations, assigned outlet, hotel, kitchen, meeting space, convention center, gaming floor, motor vehicle, various amenities, and/or additional entity locations, or external environments, as related to business. Environment includes exposure to second-hand smoke, high noise level, bright lights, and sometimes fluctuating temperatures or weather conditions. Must be able to work irregular or additional hours or shifts, including holidays or weekends, as assigned, in order to meet business needs.
