Job Summary
The Slot Attendant is responsible for providing additional services to Guests including, but not limited to payouts, answering questions, and handling minor disputes. The Slot Attendant will also be required to perform basic maintenance on slot machines and is responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of their area.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
> All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa's Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outline in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and any other related training
> Consistently ensures an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the property, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner
> Assists the Casino Shift Supervisor in all jackpots by paying out the jackpot winnings to the Guest.
> Changes out paper in slot machines when needed.
> Assists Guests and explains slot machine winning combinations, pay lines, etc.
> Performs minor repairs that need to be made on specific slot machines.
> Responsible for gaming keys issued to them during their assigned shift.
> Serve beverages to Guests.
> Monitors area for cleanliness and empties ashtrays, picks up trash, straightens chairs, etc.
> Provides Guests with current information on all promotions and casino events.
> Creates a quality entertainment experience for all Guests by use of the Hospitality Standards.
> Observes guests to identify regulars and learns names.
> Possesses a thorough knowledge of the Kiowa Reward’s Club rules and policies.
> Identifies guests playing slot machines without a Reward’s Club Card and encourages them to join the Reward’s program and explains the benefits of being a Club member.
> Assists guests on how to use the Reward’s card in the slot machine, and explains how they earn points and how to download their promotional dollars.
> Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures.
> All other duties as assigned
> Must adhere to departmental, organizational, state, and federal safety rules and regulations, applicable processes for safe operation, appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, in addition to any/all related controls for personal welfare and the safety of others

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)
Knowledge and Certification Required:
> High school diploma or GED required
> At least 21 years of age
> 1 year Prior customer service experience including cash handling
> Current Food Handlers Permit

 Preferred:
> Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the laws and regulations governing gaming operations

 

Physical Demands / Work Environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this position, the team member is required to walk and/or stand for long periods of time. Walking will require a fast pace at times. The team member will be required to bend, stoop, and kneel occasionally. The team member must also be able to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Office and gaming floor environments include flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke. Extensive computer use. Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile guests. High volume direct public contact.
