Job Summary
Creates positive service experiences for patrons of the restaurant while serving food and beverages.  Busses tables, keeps station, and work area neat and clean.

 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
> All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa’s Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outlined in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and any other related training
> Consistently ensures an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the property, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner
> Answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service
> Uses hospitality standards to make Guests feel welcome and important
> Takes food and beverage orders from Guests and enters into point of sale system
> Serves courses from kitchen and service bars for menu service within established time limits
> Observes Guests to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
> Totals bill, accepts payment, and processes according to procedure to complete sale
> Totals bill, collects payments, and makes change
> Clears and resets tables at conclusion of each course
> Maintains cleanliness and sanitation requirements in serving areas, restaurant floor, and in waitress stations at all times
> All other duties as assigned
> Must adhere to departmental, organizational, state, and federal safety rules and regulations, applicable processes for safe operation, appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, in addition to any/all related controls for personal welfare and the safety of others
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)
Specifics Required:

> High school diploma or GED required
> At least 21 years of age

Preferred:
> Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the laws and regulations governing gaming operations

Skills Required:
> Good organizational skills
> Strong verbal communication skills
> Guest service, interpersonal, and teamwork skills necessary to maintain quality service delivery
> Accurate and detail-oriented
> Basic math skills

Abilities Required:
> Ability to maintain high confidentiality
> Ability to independently manage multiple tasks in a professional manner
> Ability to independently lift up to 50 pounds routinely
> Ability to count back change
Physical Demands / Work Environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to communicate using oral and computer methods. Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours. Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel. Must have the ability to independently lift up to ­50 pounds routinely.

WORKING ENVIROMENT
Office, gaming floor, and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises, and cigarette smoke. Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasional overtime required. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals. High volume, direct public contact.
