Job Summary
Responsible for the daily operations of the cage/vault during his/ her shift, in accordance with the Internal Control System (ICS) and with the policies and procedure for the Cage and Vault.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
> All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa's Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outlined in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and any other related training.
> Consistently ensures an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the property, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner.
> Monitors the performance of team members, ensuring adherence to Cage policies and procedures and the MICS for each assigned shift.
> Calculates and performs daily bank deposits.
> Maintains Cage accountability and related documents and safeguards for gaming chips, tokens, numerically controlled documentation and supply inventory.
> Requisitions supplies and equipment for Cage.
> Assists in the development and implementation of Cage policies and procedures to improve security and efficiency.
> May perform functions of Cage Cashier, as required.
> Reconciles cage accountabilities for assigned shift.
> Completes the necessary paperwork to comply with federal currency transaction reporting requirements (Title 31).
> Reviews all cage cashier discrepancies and follow up reports.
> Arbitrates conflicts within casino cage and any customer service conflicts, providing quality Guest service at all times.
> Assists with the preparation of the cage cashier weekly work schedules.
> Performs even-money exchanges with the other casino departments and cage and vault banks.
> Reviews daily cash receipts and disbursements through the vault.
> Maintains locked boxes for keys and the key control log, and ensures proper issuance of keys during assigned shift.
> Maintains an adequate amount of currency and gaming chips in reserve for daily operation and promotional events.
> Verifies and accepts funds from soft count.
> Transfers necessary currency to vault reserve.
> Assists with hiring, retaining, promoting, performance evaluations, training, disciplining, and terminating employee with concurrence of the Department Manager, Department Director, General Manager and the Director of Human Resources.
> Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures, and to the MICS.
> All other duties as assigned.
> Must adhere to departmental, organizational, state, and federal safety rules and regulations, applicable processes for safe operation, appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, in addition to any/all related controls for personal welfare and the safety of others.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)
Specifics Required:
> High school diploma or GED required
> At least 21 years of age
> Associates Degree in accounting and 1 year progressive cashiering experience
OR
> 3 years progressive cashiering experience
> 1 year prior Cage Supervisory or Lead experience
> Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the laws and regulations governing gaming operations

> Strong computer skills with experience in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets (ability to demonstrate proficiency)

Physical Demands / Work Environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to communicate using written, oral and computer methods. Must be able to operate computer equipment (for extended periods of time). Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods in excess of 8 hours. Must be able to sit, walk and/or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to independently lift up to 50 pounds daily.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke. Extensive computer use. Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals. High volume direct public contact.
