Do you want to be part of a team that is innovating metrology solutions for the defense and commercial aerospace market? Edare is seeking to hire a Sales Engineer to lead the growth of product sales with both new and existing clients. The initial focus will be on Edare’s Fastener Measurement Tool (FMT) and related products. The FMT was developed for F-35 fastener inspection and the U.S. Department of Defense has identified it as one of the key technologies needed to meet the F-35 production rate goals. Today, the FMT is in its 3rd generation and sales are being targeted to other platforms, both military and commercial. Edare is actively working to build its Metrology team and improve the tool to ensure the FMT can continue to grow into new markets. Despite the metrology focus, this role may be involved in a variety of business areas at Edare, and the position may be tailored to the right individual. The ideal candidate will be able to apply their expertise to a broad and challenging array of cutting-edge product development and early-state production efforts.

Edare is conveniently located in Lebanon, NH, Centerra Park near DHMC and Interstate 89 Exit 18.

Job Details:

  • Full time Monday-Friday, flexible hours, 8 hour days between 6am and 5pm.
  • Total annual compensation (base pay plus commission and bonus) is targeted between $100,000-$150,000. Base pay will be based on experience and skill level of successful candidate.
  • Starting annual accrual of 3 weeks of vacation time.
  • Remote, onsite or hybrid roles.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop sales leads through multiple sources, including trade show attendance and customer outreach and visits. 
  • Support sales efforts by fielding demonstration and technical discussion requests.
  • Routinely make cold calls; develop sales opportunities independently, including identifying and developing new markets/clients.
  • Serve as first line of customer support inquiries and respond accordingly.
  • Support our application engineers in deployment and support activities.
Professional Requirements
  • BS in Engineering, Physics or Computer Science with 5+ years of post-degree experience with technical sales, customer support, or production management. Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, metrology or laser/optical systems is a plus. 
  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Good technical knowledge with the ability to speak about complex product concepts and designs with current and prospective clients.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
