Edare LLC seeks a highly organized, motivated, and experienced Quality Manager to build out and lead the oversight of our Quality Management System (QMS) for AS 9100 compliant manufacturing. While our immediate need revolves around standing up an AS 9100-certified and NADCAP quality management system for our heat exchanger manufacturing efforts, we want to ensure that our QMS evolves into one that will suit Edare’s efforts across all programs, both manufacturing and R&D activities.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Lead continual improvement by promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
  • Develop, implement, communicate, and maintain a quality plan to bring the company’s QMS and policies into compliance with the AS 9100 international standard.
  • Manage and maintain the company’s quality inspection and product release programs for raw materials, components, and finished inventory through receiving, in-process, and finished goods.
  • Develop QA compliance objectives and ensure targets are achieved.
  • Assess the product specifications of the company and its suppliers; compare with customer requirements.
  • Define quality procedures in collaboration with operating staff.
  • Drive and support Edare’s quality efforts for all product lines.
  • Champion the company’s QMS and perform the responsibilities associated with the Management Representative.
  • Act as a quality representative for day-to-day maintenance of quality documentation and processes.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to the quality system.
  • Prepare for and support Edare during inspections and audits, including but not limited to AS 9100 certification and recertification audits.
  • Manage supplier audit program.
  • Manage an internal audit program to verify processes are being followed and lead improvement opportunities.
  • Keep quality documentation up to date according to relevant standards.
  • Develop and support quality training programs.
  • Review and disposition non-conformances, initiate and execute corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs) as necessary.
  • Lead validation work and risk analyses as necessary.
  • Once an AS 9100 system is set up, this role may include other duties such as management of Edare’s Export Control functions.
Professional Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Quality plus 15+ years of experience in relevant QA and engineering roles.
  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification or ability and desire to obtain CQA certification.
  • Strong planning and scheduling skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ERP/inventory management software.
  • 12+ years’ Quality experience in manufacturing with 10+ years’ experience in the aerospace industry with AS 9100 quality system requirements.
  • Additional experience with ISO 9001 or other certifications is a plus.

Edare offers a competitive compensation package, including but not limited to a substantial annual staff bonus, industry-leading 401(k) contributions and plan options, and a range of medical plan offerings.  Starting salary range of $115,000 to $140,000 per year (full-time), based on level of education completed and years of relevant experience.
