East Missouri Action Agency is currently accepting applications for a Community Services Representative (CSR) at the Uplift Shelter in St. Francois County. This position serves a key frontline role in supporting those experiencing homelessness, including individuals who may be living with mental health conditions, trauma histories, or the impacts of substance use. The CSR will help facilitate evening activities associated with the operation of the Uplift Community Services Office and will also provide supportive assistance to the day to day Uplift Center operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining a clean and welcoming environment; ensuring access to supplies, meals and meal preparation support; completing intakes in a timely and compassionate manner; assisting with referrals, applications and special projects; and completing required reporting. This position also serves as the primary agency contact during evening, overnight, and weekend hours for the Uplift Overnight Shelter, helping ensure those we serve feel safe, respected and supported.
Requirements:
A High School Diploma or GED is required and four years experience in working with low-income programs, case management, or related fields is preferred. A 2 year college degree and 2 years of related experience will also be considered. Candidates must have a valid Missouri Driver's License and insurance. This position requires good communication skills, excellent computer skills, self-motivation, the ability to work well under pressure and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
The exact days for this position will be determined based on the program need, but the hours could be 4pm to 12am or 12am to 8 am. We may request daytime hours depending on the weather. The position is classified as temporary part-time with a starting pay range of $15.91 to $16.50 per hour.
