Job Responsibilities
The candidate will support the sustainment and enhancement to the Defense Logistics Agency's (CLA's) modern e-Commerce system. The DLA system is for Federal, DoD, state, and authorized local agencies and Foreign Military Sales (FMW) customers. DLA has developed a single Government Electronic Mall (i.e. FedMall) to provide one-stop shopping for General Services Administration (GSA) and DoD customers. The system is on a state-of-the-art, Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) e-commerce platform (IBM e-commerce suite - IBM WebSphere Commerce which runs FEDMALL's front end shopping environment and custom applications), IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management (MDM) which managers supplier, user, and program data for FEDMALL, IBM Integration Bus (IIB) that ties all the IBM product together, IBM Portal which runs the environment for supplier and vendors to upload catalogs, and FEDMALL custom utilities and virtualized on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system to meet current and future system needs. The program is broken up into three (3) tiers: application, database, and a web DMZ of servers clustered behind load balancers. There are approximately 60 production servers, development in the IBM SmartCloud for government running in IBM SoftLayer.
As the Cybersecurity Engineer, the candidate will perform a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized information assurance problems. He/She will be involved with the integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems or technology problems as they relate to Information Assurance (IA) requirements. He/She will analyze information security requirement, apply analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of workflow, organization, and planning. He/She will also provide security-engineering support for planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, and the integration of information systems.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years' of relevant IT experience
  • CAP, GSLC, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), or CASP for non-CERT personnel
  • GSEC, Security+CE, SSCP or CCNA-Security for non-CERT personnel (DLA CERT personnel will maintain an additional CNDSP-IR certification)
  • Experience with ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) 5.0 Security Analyst, ArcSight Logger 5.0 Administration and Operations, HBSS Administrator, HBSS Advanced, McAfee Network Security Platform Administration
