Job Responsibilities

The Directory Services Engineer will be responsible for maintenance of the Windows Active Directory infrastructure within the MDA Server Management Crew in support of the Missile Defense Agency on the JRDC Program at either Schriever AFB, CO or Redstone Arsenal, AL. The Directory Services Engineer will ensure continuity in the day-to-day operation of the MDA Windows Active Directory infrastructure (LDAP, Directory Replication, Group Policy, Organizational Units, DNS, DFS-R, etc). The Directory Services Engineer will be required to coordinate efforts with other RBA Crews, work centers and personnel to resolve Remedy Incidents related to new and existing Windows Active Directory implementations and its continuing maintenance. The Directory Services Engineer will attend and contribute to weekly team meetings, manage assigned Remedy Incidents, attend project kick-off meetings and support Contractor and Government briefings. Travel to Missile Defense Agency (MDA) sites may be required. Experience using Remedy software preferred. Primary duty hours fall within 0700-1700, Monday - Friday time period, but must be able to work alternate shift and weekend hours as necessary to support implementation, troubleshooting and testing requirements. On call and other storage engineering duties may be required.


Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related technical field and 12 years’ experience. • Requires strong and current Microsoft Windows Active Directory experience and related certifications (MCSE, etc), A+, Security+ CE, Network+, Server +, and certifications required by DOD 8570. Core MDA RBA Server Management Crew Training also required within 90 days of assuming position. • Essential qualifications for a successful candidate include an ability to quickly adapt to new situations, a strong commitment to a team environment, a capacity to work unsupervised, and a willingness to learn new technologies. • Must have the ability to produce documentation ranging from high-level briefings to detailed policies/processes/procedures. • Must have a DoD Secret clearance.

?Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related technical field and 8 years’ experience. • Experience using Remedy software preferred. • Previous work experience as a Windows/Linux System Administrator supporting a large Enterprise with knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows 2008/2012, Linux/UNIX Operating Systems, EMC Storage, Symantec Netbackup and SCCM Patch Management solutions.
