Job Responsibilities
The candidate will perform duties as a Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Integration Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency Simulations to include OSM, EADSim, BMD I-Sim, Pelorus, SSF, OSF, and PlnT. He/She will coordinate activities with the exercise team and will work closely with a mission-focused team that plans, conducts, and support missile defense COCOM exercises for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), the Warfighter, and other missile defense and service stakeholders. The candidate will have an understanding and application of test concepts and methodology, communicate analysis, testing, and comparison results to the Joint National Integration Center Research & Development Contract (JRDC) Event Lead, Mission Engineer, and the lead Modeling & Simulations Integrator. He/She will identify new requirements, problems & fixes for simulations, as a result of the analysis/testing, in an organized logical manner, execute the simulations, analyze sim behavior, gather test data, & compare data between simulations, configure database queries for post-run reports, including engagement reports, and coordinate with other system analysts on issues related to models.
  • Associates degree in Computer Science or related field (acceptable alternative education/experience: High school or GED/3 years)
  • Must be able to obtain within 90 days, or already possess, a Security+ certification or other DoD-approved certifications for IAT Level 1
  • Must be able to obtain within 90 days, or already possess, Computing Environment Certification for Linux and Windows
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Must be able to travel 25%, both domestic and international

    Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications:
  • Experience working in an object-oriented (iterative-incremental), team environment
  • Experience in Linux and/or Windows operating system
  • Experience with MDA simulations such as SIU, OSM, etc.

  • Must be able to obtain, or already possess, a secret security clearance
