Job Responsibilities

Operations research analyst to support the modeling and simulation of space-based infrared systems and ground-based processing in the Missile Defense Space Warning Tool (MDST). The candidate will analyze real-world SBIRS and JTAGS event and simulation data and recommend software design and implementation changes. Main responsibilities include supporting MDST verification and validation analysis, writing analysis tools, providing constructive simulation design recommendations, planning MDST verification and validation activities, writing analysis reports, interfacing with MDST customers and warfighters, presenting technical briefings to MDST stakeholders.

 Must have a working knowledge of MATLAB and a strong understanding of both math and physics. • Candidate must be able to work both independently and in a team environment and have strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. • Currently have, or able to obtain, a DoD Secret clearance.

?Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, operations research, or engineering. • An understanding of object oriented software development in a Linux environment, experience with C++, Java, and/or Python programming languages, Ballistic Missile  C++Defense System domain knowledge, OPIR sensor systems, tactical messaging, constructive modeling and simulation development, analysis tools (e.g.,STK), and wargame/exercise events.
