Job Responsibilities
The Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Software Application Engineer will perform standard O&M activities for the ACAS information assurance application for both unclassified and classified networks.  Support will cover all components of the ACAS application: Security Center, Nessus User Interface, xTool, 3D Tool, and Passive Vulnerability Scanner (PVS).  Responsibilities with the ACAS Software Application include:  • Initial application installation and configuration, routine application updates, management of vendor releases • Testing upgrades in a lab environment and staging areas prior to production deployment• Supporting efforts to expand ACAS functionality into MDA enclave networks• Comply with the standard IT-Services processes for system change requests• Perform battle rhythm activities to include: monitor system/application logs, monitor application status, perform and verify application and database backups, monitor and resolve tickets• Coordinate with DISA representatives regarding the use and troubleshooting of DoD approved automated validation and remediation tools• Additional duties include assisting with HBSS, Arcsight, and other Cyber Security tools

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance • Must possess a Security+ Certification or CISSP or obtain within 6 months of hire• Full

Security+ software life cycle development experience including requirements, design, implementation, maintenance and documentation • Technical skills related to the Windows Operating System, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Microsoft SQL• Strong analytical background with accompanying troubleshooting skills• Proven ability to work independently as well as collectively within a team, apply critical thinking techniques, and effectively communicate with customers and other team members, both orally and in writing.

?Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field• Planning, deployment, and operational use of Security Center with Nessus, and Passive Vulnerability Scanner (PVS)• Experience in Data Security, security center scanning, running network and credential scans, vulnerability analysis, PVS Vulnerability and Event Analysis, Compliance Audits, and Security Center Roles• Knowledge with HBSS or ArcSight• Experience with BMC/Remedy 8.x.• ITIL v3 Foundations certification is a plus• Ability to quickly adapt to new situations and a willingness to learn new technologies.
