Job Responsibilities
As a Systems Administrator, the candidate will provide support for the Modeling and Operations Software (MOS) Directorate Sensor Modeling Center (SMC) organization on the Joint National Integration Center Research & Development Contract (JRDC) program. He/She will work closely with the SMC IT Lead and Hardware Architect and be responsible for maintaining smooth operation of the Open Systems Architecture Sensor Models (OSM) and Open Systems Architecture Signal Injector (OSI) hardware infrastructure as well as the IT infrastructure that supports software development in a Red Hat Linux environment.
Qualifications
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma with a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience, or the equivalent
  • A minimum of two (2) years of recent work with the Linux Operating System
  • Security+ with continuing education (CE) certification or better
  • CompTIA's A+, Network+ certification or the equivalent experience
  • Experience with workstation and server basic input/output system (BIOS) and hardware configurations including firmware upgrades
  • Familiarity with the installation, support, maintenance, and patching of Linux based workstations, DNS, DHCP, IdM Server, RHEL 6 and 7, ntp, Network Manager, KDE, Gnome, kernel virtual machine, rpm build and maintenance
  • Proficiency in a scripting language with Python or Bash being preferred

    Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications:
  • Implementation and usage of the following:
  • C Programming
  • Real-time Computing
  • Linux Clustering
  • Ansible
  • Chef or Puppet
  • PKI Implementation & 2 FA on Linux platforms
  • Satellite Server 5 or 6 including bare metal provisioning Red Hat Enterprise open stack RDO GlusterFS Linux Kernel customization application performance tuning

    Clearance:
  • Must be able to obtain, or already possess, a secret security clearance
