Job Responsibilities
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Principal Engineer Assists with the development of a strategic roadmap for PKI by conducting feasibility studies and evaluates solutions with regard to their ability to integrate with the existing infrastructure and their adoption of general security practices.  Performs the following for all PKI related systems and applications:• Architecture and Engineering Design• Installation, Upgrades, and Integration• Testing and Validation• Operations and MaintenanceResponsibilities and knowledge with DoD and NSS PKI technologies and components include:Technical• Smart Cards, Middleware, Certificate Validation Software• Certificate Validation, Certificate Chain Validation, and the Smart Card Logon process• PK-Enablement of Websites and Web Applications• Hashing/Encryption algorithmsDoD Policies & Programs• DoD/NSS PKI Certificate Policy and Practice Statements• Federal PKI Guidelines to include AR 25- 1, AR 25-2, DODD 8500.1, DODI 8500.2 and the Federal Common Policy Framework• HSPD 12 (Homeland Security Presidential Directive)• DoD PKI External Interoperability Landscape and the DoD External Certificate Authority (ECA) Program• US Cyber Command Tasking Orders and DirectivesProcesses/Procedures• Certificate issuance of DoD PKI and NSS DoD PKI certificates as well as process improvement and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documentation• Streamline processes and procedures for PKI Team, Registration Authority, and Trusted Agents• Involved with preparing for and managing DISA Audits of the MDA Registration Authority Service
Qualifications
Must possess a Security+ Certification or CISSP• Microsoft Office, Access Database, Powershell experience • Strong technical skills related to the Windows Operating System and Active Directory• Experience with PKI Technologies• Must have a strong analytical background with accompanying troubleshooting skills• Experience at working independently and in a team- oriented, collaborative environment• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams• Strong written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills• Must have the ability to produce detailed documentation to include policies, processes, and procedures.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field• DoD and NSS Registration Authority (RA) Certification• Previous work experience with supporting an Enterprise PKI
