Job Responsibilities
As a Systems Analyst/Engineer, the candidate will perform end-to-end analysis and support the systems engineering process for the government.  He/She will analyze areas focused on evaluation of new concepts, requirement definition, and system & test verification. The candidate will write code to add analysis capabilities or modify a large MATLAB based simulation and perform quantitative analyses. He/She may also run higher fidelity element level simulations, act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on missile elements or analysis techniques, act as the team lead or report to the lead, plan tasks & report on progress, coordinate with functional working group leads, senior management & government personnel responsible for executing analyses tasks, document results in reports & briefings, and presents results to the engineering team and government representatives.

The candidate must possess an understanding of modeling and simulation of systems.
Qualifications
Requirements:
  • Bachelor in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physical Science with a minimum of five (5) years' experience commensurate with that of a Senior Analyst (acceptable education/experience: Master/3, PhD/4)
  • Possess a strong technical background in various missile sensors, interceptors and/or discrimination
  • Experience or working knowledge of a government position with a background in the development of analytical tools and numerical modeling of complex systems using MATLAB or a similar computing environment
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Capability to assume a study lead role in analysis and coordinating the efforts with other SMEs


  • Desired Competencies/Education/Experience
  • Master degree preferred
  • Experience with ballistic missile defense including sensors, radio frequency (RF) and infrared (IR) discrimination, engagement analysis, and kill vehicle operations
  • Possess strong coordination, organization, and teaming skills
  • Familiarity with government threat generation and selection
  • Systems engineering experience of large, complex weapons systems


  • Clearance
  • A minimum of a secret clearance is required
  •
