Job Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer, the candidate shall perform software development for the Modeling and Operations Software (MOS) Directorate Sensor Modeling Center (SMC) organization on the Joint National Integration Center Research & Development Contract (JRDC) program. He/She will work with a team of engineers and analysts in the architecture, design, implementation, and maintenance of a suite of sensor models, used for element and system level analysis, and for the verification and validation of models and simulations. The candidate will also participate on an Agile software development team and will contribute to all phases of the software life-cycle. He/She will be responsible for, but not limited to, the development, debugging and unit test of C++ source code, high-level and detailed design including the creation of design artifacts, and collaborate with test and analysis engineers to ensure the developed product meets requirements.
  • Bachelor Computer Science or related field with a minimum of ten (10) years of medium to large scale software design and development experience (acceptable alternative education/experience: Associate/12, Master/3)
  • Highly proficient in C++ on a UNIX or Linux platform
  • Experienced in all phases of software development
  • Proficiency in object-oriented software development methodologies
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of UML

  • Possess a strong background in mathematics and physics
  • Possess the ability to assume a leadership role in complex tasks

  • Missile defense domains
  • GPU programming
  • Open CL

  • Clearance:
