Job Responsibilities
The selected candidate will support the complete product lifecycle associated with information technology-oriented projects in support of multiple task orders and customers as the Senior Command, Control, Battle Management (C2BMC) Lab Engineer. Tasks will include leading projects & teams, performing impact assessments, project planning activities, developing system concept of operations, supporting the definition & design of new & existing complex information technology systems, supporting the development of system specifications, and developing baseline engineering documentation. He/She will also assist the Lab Manager providing personnel leadership, creating & maintaining relevant labor templates, developing task order budgets & basis of estimates, as well as performing earned value planning, forecasting, and metrics analysis. As a member of the Ballistic Missile Defense System Support (BMDSS) lab team, the Senior C2BMC Lab Engineer will be responsible for providing technical leadership while supporting the build out and maintenance of specialized and complex integration and test laboratories. He/She will provide backup to the Spiral Integrator role in preparing analysis, tracking, and reporting. Responsibilities shall also include installing system software, periodic/preventative maintenance, and performing complex troubleshooting & break/fix activities. 
Qualifications
Requirements:
*Bachelor degree in Information Technology or another related field with a minimum of eight (8) years experience (Acceptable  education/experience alternatives: Associate/12 years, Master/3 years)
*Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting physical & virtual Linux or Windows servers, workstations, and peripheral  configurations in a  VMWare virtualized environment as well as data center virtualization management
*Experience creating procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
*Experience developing, modifying, and maintaining Active Directory (AD) structures
*Must already possess, or be able to obtain within 120 days, a CompTIA Security+ certification with continuing education (CE)
*Must be able to work flexible hours with core support hours between 6 AM and 6 PM Monday - Friday, occasional nights, weekends and extended  hours as necessary on short notice to support customer requirements, troubleshooting, testing, and exercise support.
*Must be able to accommodate occasional travel

Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications:
*Experience leading small technical teams
*Experience with HP Blade platforms and RedHat Enterprise Linux servers/workstations
*Skilled with installation and configuration of Defense Information Infrastructure Common Operating Equipment (DII COE) operating system  wrapper
*Experience in installation and configuration of the mid-sized Sun Solaris servers, disk array management, tape libraries, and associated  peripherals
*Experience with Virtual Connect, SAN management, and NetBackup
*Familiarity with Remedy software used to resolve incident requests
*Ability to automate tasks using Perl or TCL/Expect scripting languages
*Application support experience in a development environment, developing project objectives and reviewing project proposals & plans
*Engineering change work orders and the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) Facility Installation Standard

Clearance:
*Must be able to obtain, or already possess, secret security clearance and then initiate the acquisition of a top secret clearance upon  selection
