Ballistic Missile Defense System Support (BMDSS) Organization IT Engineer, on the JRDC program at Schriever AFB CO, specializing in Windows/Linux/VMWare.  The Senior C2BMC Lab Engineer will support the complete product life-cycle associated with information technology-oriented projects in support of multiple task orders and customers.  Tasks include leading projects and teams, performing impact assessments, project planning activities, developing system Concept of Operations, supporting the definition and design of new and existing complex information technology systems, supporting the development of system specifications, and developing baseline engineering documentation.  Engineering support duties also include assisting in the planning and development of system technology roadmaps, system prototyping and the performance and documentation of trade studies.  The Senior C2BMC Lab Engineer will assist the Lab Manager providing personnel leadership, creating and maintaining relevant labor templates, developing Task Order budgets and Basis of Estimates, as well as performing earned value planning, forecasting and metrics analysis.As a member of the BMDSS Lab Team the Senior C2BMC Lab Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership while supporting the build out and maintenance of specialized and complex integration and test laboratories.  Responsibilities also include installing system software, periodic/preventative maintenance, and performing break fix activities.  Primary duty hours fall within core support hours of 0600-1800, Monday – Friday as scheduled, but must be able to work occasional night, weekend and extended hours as necessary on short notice to support customer requirements, troubleshooting, testing, and exercise support.  Duties may include occasional travel.

Experience deriving requirements, performing trade studies, or documenting system architecture/design• Experience designing physical servers, virtual servers, virtual environments or enterprise systems as well as data center virtualization management• Experience installing, configuring or troubleshooting Linux or Windows servers, workstations, and peripheral configurations in a VMWare virtualized environment• Experience developing, modifying or maintaining Active Directory (AD) structures• Experience creating procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance• Experience developing scripts for systems automation• Must possess or be able to obtain within 60 days a CompTIA Security+ Certification with Continuing Education (CE)• Candidate can start with a DoD Secret clearance but must initiate acquisition of a DoD Top Secret clearance upon selection.

?Architecture and design documentation using Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)• Experience leading small technical teams• Experience with HP Blade platforms and Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers/workstations.• Skilled with the installation and configuration of DII COE operating system wrapper• Expertise in installation and configuration of mid-sized Sun Solaris servers, disk array management, tape libraries, and associated peripherals • Experience with Virtual Connect, SAN management, and NetBackup • Familiarity with Remedy software used to resolve Incident Requests• Ability to automate tasks using Perl or TCL/Expect scripting languages • Applications support experience in a development environment, developing project objectives and reviewing project proposals and plans.
