Job Responsibilities
Working as an Expert Linux Systems Administrator, the candidate will be responsible for the administration of Linux RHEL 6 servers in a virtual environment using VMWare ESXi and vCenter server as well as various Windows platforms to include Windows 10 and Windows Server 2008. He/She will perform security patch management, IAVA's and STIG's, will work with security ISSO for reporting and verification utilizing tools like ACAS and SCAP. The qualified candidate will also maintain and configure an HBSS site on the e-Policy Orchestrator server, running through daily battle-rhythm checks of systems in both a test and production environment. He/She will also be responsible for loading and supporting required system software including STK, Mat Lab, and other Government Off The Shelf (GOTS) as well as coordinate efforts with network engineering and project management personnel to resolve incident requests and engineering change work orders. The candidate will maintain smooth operations of a multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. He/She will also interact with users, evaluate vendor products, recommend hardware and software purchases, coordinate installations, provide backup recovery tasks, develop & monitor policies & standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Qualifications
Requirements:
*Master degree in Systems Administration or related field with a minimum of ten (10) related experience (additional acceptable education/experience:  Bachelor/15 years experience, Doctorate/4 years experience)
*Security+ certification
*Experience designing physical servers, virtual servers, virtual environments or enterprise systems as well as data center virtualization management
*Experience installing, configuring, or troubleshooting Linux servers, workstations, and peripheral configurations in a VMWare virtualized environment
*Experience developing, modifying, or maintaining Active Directory structures
*Experience creating procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
*Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
*Ability to articulate technical terms and concepts to non-technical people

Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications:
*Experience with/knowledge of ACAS, SCAP, STK and Mat Lab

Clearance:
*Must be able to obtain, or already possess, a secret security clearance
