Job Responsibilities
As part of the Strategic Missile & Information Systems Parts, Materials, & Processes (PM&P) team, a specialty engineering function which provides expertise in electrical, electronic & electromechanical (EEE), mechanical, metallic & non-metallic parts, materials, and related processes as well as survivability, the candidate will be the subject-matter expert (SME) responsible for working with program designers, integrated planning teams (IPTs), and subcontractors to select parts, materials, and processes that meet program designated parts, materials, & processes (PM&P) requirements along with supporting parts testing, failure analysis, and mitigation development as well as performing supplier compliance assessments and development of all required plans. Additionally, he/she will support all Parts, Materials, & Processes Control Board (PMPCB) related functions including reviewing Non-Standard Part Approval Requests and relevant data, as well as, being a part of PMPCB working groups & board meetings, and interface with both the customer and subcontractors in support of the PMPCB.
Qualifications
Requirments:
*Bachelor degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Chemistry, with accreditation standard, and a  minimum of nine (9) years' experience (acceptable alternative education/experience: Master/7 years, Doctorate/4 years)  (Accreditation Board for Engineering & Technology (ABET) is preferred but not required)
*Prior knowledge of military and industry parts and materials specifications, bills of materials, obsolescence, and coordinated  activities with suppliers
*Experience with electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) parts & materials and their application and selection into  mission critical systems
*Ability to follow established processes, be able to understand when processes are in need of change, and willingness to champion  changes consistent with organization goals

Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications:

*Prior experience working with defense contractors, parts, materials, and processes mission assurance plans
*Some working knowledge of ionizing radiation effects and testing

Clearance:
*Must be able to obtain or already possess a secret, or higher, security clearance
