BUDGET SPECIALIST
Starting Salary $70,980.00 plus benefits
This professional position is responsible for working with the Program Division to provide consultation, technical assistance, and fiscal guidance to programs funded by Children’s Services Council and assists with functions in the Accounting Department. This position is responsible for evaluating expenditures, analyzing the financial reports of funded programs, and may also include the overall fiscal oversight, including processing budget applications, revisions and reimbursements. Additionally, this position analyzes the needs of programs, develops program allocations and makes funding recommendations.
Assists with identifying opportunities to increase the automation and efficiency of fiscal processes and reporting and actively participates in their development.
Assists with audit workpapers, implementation of new GASB pronouncements, annual budget, TRIM process and packets, allocations budget, council resolutions, monthly program budget variance analysis, forecasting and special projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, supplemented by a four (4) to six (6) years accounting, auditing or related experience, preferably in a non-profit or governmental setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the minimum requirements listed.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
The Budget Specialist will be working on site at our office in Boynton Beach, Florida with flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week following a probationary period.
