BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE OFFICER

Starting Salary $89,232 plus benefits

As a member of the Information Management (IM) team, the Business Intelligence Officer will be responsible for many different tasks and areas, including reporting, data architecture, data strategy, data analysis, issue resolution, requirements gathering, data warehouse planning and development, data lake planning and development, dataset consolidation, data manipulation, strategic design of application interfaces, ETL package creation and maintenance, system design, etc.  This position will also be responsible for promoting and integrating Power BI and Tableau to visualize data in new and exciting ways with charts, graphs, comparisons, maps, scatter plots, etc.  Additionally, this role will lead and support the research, evaluation, and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to enhance decision-making, forecasting, and operational efficiency. In addition, this position will also be responsible for configuring, implementing, and maintaining Box throughout the organization.  This position is also responsible for the management of our locally hosted and external SQL Server databases and other data assets.

  • Works closely with Talent and Operations, Accounting and Human Resources departments to consult and provide application and data technology solutions with the objective of improving operations and efficiency.
  • Works closely with the members of Information Technology to achieve consistency, reliability, regularity, and a high level of quality in the technology platforms, performance, design, and integration.
  • Works closely with other Information Management Division team members to align project objectives and outcomes with the direction and needs of the organization, and to ensure consistency and clear messaging with all other interfacing departments.
  • Works closely with staff across the organization to show how technology and data can improve the outcomes of children and families in Palm Beach County.
Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field, supplemented by a minimum of six (6) years data management, business intelligence, database management, and/or data consolidation experience.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the minimum requirements listed.

Conditions of Employment

The Business Intelligence Officer will be working on site at our office in Boynton Beach, Florida with flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week following a probationary period.
