PCB Parts Librarian
  
Job Responsibilities

Creare seeks a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and experience in electronic component management to support our engineering and PCB design teams. Job emphasis is on maintaining and expanding the PCB parts library, assisting with part selection and replacements, and supporting procurement activities. This position will help offload tasks from PCB designers and provide critical support to engineers across multiple projects.

As a key member of our technical staff, this individual must be able to manage competing priorities, collaborate effectively with engineers and designers, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of component data. Responsibilities include creating, correcting, and approving library entries, creating and reviewing symbols and footprints, researching and recommending part alternatives, coordinating with procurement to track availability and lead times, and maintaining documentation standards. The ideal candidate has experience with PCB library tools, such as Altium, OrCAD, or KiCad, familiarity with IPC/DoD standards, electronic components, and sourcing, excellent attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Professional Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or an associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology is preferred. IPC Certified Interconnect Designer (CID or CID+) or PCEA Certified Printed Circuit Designer (CPCD) is highly desirable. Two years or more of relevant work experience is preferred.

This position may be hybrid or remote, with a preference for candidates able to work onsite a few days per week or a week per month if living at a distance.
