PCB Design Engineer
  
Job Responsibilities

Apply your expertise to a broad and challenging array of engineering problems in one or more of the following areas: analog, digital, microcontroller, wireless, control, and power-conversion technologies.  Demonstrate your ability to succeed on a variety of R&D projects by working in multidisciplinary teams of electrical, software, mechanical, and thermal experts at Creare’s Hanover, NH headquarters.

As a PCB Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating printed circuit boards that meet performance, safety, and cost requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Design circuit schematics and PCB layouts independently or in collaboration with electrical engineers
  • Contribute to and manage PCB components library
  • Perform design analysis and circuit simulation
  • Assess PCB components and materials
  • Support procurement, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of prototypes and final designs
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless design integration
  • Generate and maintain design and manufacturing documentation, bills of materials, and technical specifications
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Professional Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, or related field
  • Solid understanding of electronics principles and electromagnetic field concepts
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, KiCAD, or similar)
  • Experience with SPICE simulation preferred
  • Excellent communication and project-management skills
  • Attention to detail and a strong problem-solving mindset
