Electrical Design Engineer
  
Job Responsibilities

Apply your expertise to a broad and challenging array of engineering problems in one or more of the following areas: analog, digital, microcontroller, wireless, control, and power-conversion technologies.  Demonstrate your ability to succeed on a variety of R&D projects by working in multidisciplinary teams of electrical, software, mechanical, and thermal experts at Creare’s Hanover, NH headquarters.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and validating electrical systems and components that meet performance, safety, and cost requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize electrical circuits, schematics, and PCB layouts
  • Perform load calculations, component selection, and system integration
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, and validation of prototypes and final designs
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless design integration
  • Generate and maintain design documentation, bills of materials, and technical specifications
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Professional Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, science or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience (preferably in an R&D environment)
  • Proficiency in ECAD tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD)
  • Strong grasp of analog and digital circuit design principles
  • Excellent communication and project-management skills
  • Attention to detail and a strong problem-solving mindset

Creare offers a competitive compensation package, including but not limited to a substantial annual staff bonus (e.g., 20% of annual earnings for 2024), industry-leading 401(k) contributions and plan options, a range of medical plans, and the potential for a signing /startup bonus.  Mutual respect, teamwork, and the ability to do the highest quality work define our staff and work environment.  Salary range of $90,000 - $140,000 per year, based on level of education completed and years of relevant work experience.
